Apple ends in E, so the next word starts with E. Eagle also ends in E, so eel is allowed next.
Every word has a countdown. It starts at 15 seconds and gets a little shorter with each word you add, down to 7. If it runs out, you lose one of your three lives and the clock restarts. Lose all three and the game is over.
One point per word. The word you start with doesn't count.
Look at how your word ends before you send it. Finishing on a Q or an X makes the next turn hard.
